Renewable Energy

But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31

When we pump a barrel of oil or extract a ton of coal from the ground, it comes from a finite supply. The world’s underground deposits—though vast—are reduced by that barrel or ton. When we capture the same amount of energy in a solar panel, a wind turbine, or a waterfall, it doesn’t reduce the sun or the wind or the river one bit. That’s why it’s called renewable. But the politics and economics of it are another story, and political campaigns are won or lost on issues of energy policy. On a personal level, we have a constant source of renewable energy.

On a personal level, we have a constant source of renewable energy to keep the lights burning in our hearts. Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”

When you face a problem that drains your energy, get alone with the Lord and give it to Him. Entrust it to Him in a conscious act of faith. Wait on His resolution in hopeful faith. You’ll be amazed at how you’re inwardly strengthened by the process. That’s renewable energy that works!
