3 simple ideas for giving today.

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith.1 Timothy 5:8

Time with family.

Giving of ourselves to our family is the best investment we’ll ever make. Let’s not forget our aging family members who may no longer have independence, let’s commit to brighten their days too.

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.James 1:27

Community volunteer.

Raising our volunteer hands to meet a local need in our community is a great way to give to Him and be a lamp. In both the Old and New Testament God instructs us to volunteer our time to help out those less fortunate because it’s something He cares about.

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.Hebrews 10:25

Church involvement.

We are all talented members of the church body and have so much to give to others. Whether an encouraging word, praying with someone at the altar, teaching Sunday school, ushering, playing an instrument, or so much more, we can all make an impact.

Give from your heart.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
